Debby Cougar
DVM

Dr. Cougar was born on the island of Jamaica. She has always had a love of animals. When she was fourteen, she moved to New Jersey, where she later earned her BS in Animal Science from Rutgers University. This was followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She has since practiced in New Jersey, Connecticut, and has now settled in Pennsylvania.
In December 2008, she founded Simmonds Veterinary Hospital in Allentown PA. Dr. Cougar lovingly dedicated the vet clinic to her grandfather, Nathan Simmonds, who raised her. As an experienced and caring veterinarian, Dr. Cougar believes in providing outstanding care to all her patients.
Dr. Cougar shares her home with her cats (Ichabod, Moo Bear, & Tofu), her snakes (Stewey & Henry), and her dog Stanley. In her leisure time, she enjoys gardening, running, and travel.
